Bob Marshall - Historical reconstruction artist & 3D modelmaker

Bob Marshall is an Edinburgh-based architectural illustrator and digital artist specialising in creating detailed historical reconstructions and 3D models.

His illustrations feature on interpretation panels at heritage sites across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, and they contribute to many books, educational publications, interactive experiences, and documentaries. Working in collaboration with architectural historians and archaeologists, Bob combines modern geospatial survey data with archaeological evidence and historical records to create his reconstructions.

The Royal Collection Trust, Historic Environment Scotland, Historic Royal Palaces, English Heritage, and Glasgow School of Art, are among Bob's past and present clients. This website features an extensive Portfolio of his work.

Bob is an active member and supporter of the Society of Architectural Illustrators (MSAI), Scottish Castles Association, Caithness Broch Project, and is a Director/Trustee at Cousland Smiddy Trust.
