This is a draft reconstruction of the Great Chamber at Windsor Castle set out for the Garter Feast of 1476. The image was developed for the publication Windsor Castle: A Thousand Years of a Royal Palace, published by the Royal Collection Trust 2018. An alternative image of the room was chosen for the book, and this viewpoint wasn't published. Edward IV and the Garter Knights dined in this room on the evening of Sunday 28 April. A description of the occasion, reproduced in Anstis’ Black Book of the Garter, specifies who was present and how they were seated. This reconstruction is based on the historical research and advice of Dr. Steven Brindle.
