St Blane's Monastery - Isle of Bute (6th century)

A conjectural reconstruction of the peaceful sixth-century monastery at Kingarth, Isle of Bute. It is said to have been founded by the Irish monk Cathan (Catan or Cattan), but the site is more commonly associated with his nephew, St Blane (Irish Bláán). Commissioned Work.
